Dr. Daniel Baronas is a dedicated chiropractor originally from St. Catharines, Ontario. His academic journey began at Concordia University in Montreal before transferring to McMaster University, where he earned his Honours Kinesiology degree and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC).
Dr. Daniel is an avid sports fan and former multi-sport athlete, having captained McMaster’s 2011 Vanier Cup championship-winning football team! His own athletic experiences, including a variety of injuries, sparked his interest in chiropractic care.
Over the years, he has gained valuable experience through internships in rehabilitation and strength and conditioning with amateur and professional sports teams. These experiences have shaped his holistic approach to treating both acute and chronic musculoskeletal issues, using a combination of diversified techniques such as Active Release Therapy (ART), Spinal Manipulative Therapy (SMT), Graston Technique, joint mobilization, and rehabilitation exercises.
Dr. Daniel strongly believes in a proactive approach to pain relief and overall wellness, frequently advocating the philosophy that “Movement is Medicine.” Outside of the clinic, you can find him engaging in recreational sports, exploring new restaurants with his partner, Tamara, or spending quality time with their dogs, Leela and Simon!
Meg joined the Baronas team in spring 2025 after previously working with Dr. Daniel Baronas at another clinic. Today, she practices acupuncture in Kitsilano as part of the Baronas team. Their approaches naturally complement one another, with a shared focus on personalized, collaborative care that helps people move, recover, and feel better.
Meg takes a whole-body approach, with particular interests in nervous system regulation, stress-related tension, TMJ and headaches, digestive health, hormonal health, and persistent pain.
Her treatments draw on Balance Method acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, and gentle hands-on techniques, tailored to what each person needs that day.
Meg’s path to acupuncture was shaped by both movement and burnout. As a young dancer, she experienced the physical demands of an active body. Later, years in the insurance industry exposed her to the other side of the equation: long hours, a sedentary career, and the toll chronic stress can take on the body. These experiences sparked a deeper interest in the relationship between the nervous system, movement, and the whole person, ultimately leading her to acupuncture.
With a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from UBC and advanced training in Balance System acupuncture, facial acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, gua sha, cupping, and buccal massage, Meg blends her clinical background with the traditional principles of Chinese medicine.
Her approach is calm, collaborative, and practical: helping busy bodies settle, recover, and feel more at home in themselves.
